BLAB: Monkey fairness articles

Here are a couple articles for the Halloween BLAB.  The first is the 
original article in Nature that generated so much press ("Monkeys reject 
unequal pay"), where monkeys showed signs of distress and sometimes refused 
to eat when they saw conspecifics get tastier rewards for the same tasks.  
The second article, "Capuchin cognitive ecology: cooperation based on 
projected returns" is also by Frans de Waal and, I think, provides some 
useful background.  Since the "required" reading(the Nature article) is so 
short, I may also try to send out an article Dr. Allen found about altruism 
in capuchins.
