Maybe I am being a little hypersensitive today, but my reaction
to this is:

I wasn't criticizing, which is hopefully obvious from the fact
that I am often out at these rides (enjoying and trying to support
them) I was just trying to use humorous phrasing and air
some ideas, Jeez.
