The article relating her sentencing stated that she was headed up the road
to meet friends to go bicyling herself. I can't imagine that a cyclist would
intentionally "tap" another cyclist with her car, but that is in fact what
she told the officer at the time.  I can only infer that this person has
some sort of mental or emotional troubles, or at the very least an
incredible dangerous case of "I'm-more-important-than-anything-or-anyone-it
is".  Either way, I'm sure this isn't the only time in her life she will be
in the news for a road rage type of incident.

Call or email your congressman about this....

It's not mentioned in this article, but in previous articles the idiot was
quoted as saying "I only meant to tap him."  She apparently was very annoyed
by a bicycle being on the road, and felt it necessary to send a clear
message to the cyclist.  Her lawyer's argument included the "fact" that the
bicyclist shouldn't have been on the road in the first place.  This came
over our randonneuring list a few weeks ago, I'll try to dig it out of the
archives.
