If in fact it was just two guys riding off the front or straggling off
the back, I agree.  I missed the word "two" the first time I read it,
thinking the guy was bitching about the *pack* not riding single file,
which simply isn't going to happen in a race except perhaps when the
pack is under extreme duress.
