BVCer's - Please see request from City of College Station below. Please
contact Mark Beal ASAP if you are willing to participate. Also - if
you can forward to as many people that may not be on BVC list-serv, that
would be helpful.
If anyone has access to the mountain bike group - they should have this
information as well.
If anyone is interested in leading this effort I know Mark would
appreciate the assistance.

Subject: Bike to Work PSA
Hi, Lenae --
The City of College Station will be shooting a PSA this weekend to
promote Bike to Work Day. The concept is to start out showing a typical
biker, who after a few seconds is joined by a bicycle cop, then a
student type, then a man in a business suit, etc. We end up with a huge
crowd of bicyclists all dressed for work (delivery driver uniform,
hospital scrubs, business casual, whatever they wear to work) riding
together in a Boston Marathon type mob.
We don't necessarily need athletic types, we can use anybody. Attire is,
as mentioned, whatever you would wear to work. The shoot will begin at
9:30 at the Wolf Pen Creek trails. Bikers will meet in the parking lot
at the corner of Holleman and Dartmouth. I anticipate the crowd portion
of the shoot will take about 2 hours.
If possible, I would like to be contacted so I can estimate how many
people will be there. I can be reached by email at mbeal at cstx.gov, at my
office at 764-5005, or by cell phone at 218-1885. However, if you don't
know until the last moment, please come anyway -- we won't turn anyone
away!
Thanks,
Mark
