depending on the brand, there could be writing on the edge of the lens; i.e. Johnson & Johnson - has a little '123' near the edge - if you can't see that number correctly from the outside of the lenses, it's inside out.
Also look at the curvature of the edge of the lens - inside out will flare slightly at the outer edge or look for the beveling at the edge - the beveled slope around the outside edge should be facing out.

For the most part, even with the most aqueous lenses, you are going to know if they are inside out.

Be sure you give your eyes time to adjust to having them in. It will happen.

How can you tell if they are inside out?

I've been wearing them when I ride for 15 years. I often take them
out after the ride and rinse them off and put them back in. More
often, I take them out and just put my glasses on.

Some folks have trouble with dryness. Try using a wetting solution
regularly. They do take some getting used to.

And you are sure you don't have them in inside out? It is impossible
to see clearly unless they are right side out.
