However, all of this discussion of group riding basics, transition skills, faster than 15 mph, qualified licensed group cycling instructors sounds pretty intimidating...

As someone ignorant of "group riding skills" I feel like I need to join some kind of class before trying any of this.  And I 
ride 15 mph on a downhill with the wind at my back so evidently I'm condemned to the recreational rider class forever.

One of these years...

On an upcoming event:  Tour de Pink down in Prairie View is this Sunday if anyone else is going from here, perhaps we'll see you there. Mary Cay & I will be riding the 45-mile tour.  I'm the tall geeky guy on a 62 cm Surly Long Haul Trucker.
