Definitely give Orbea a call. They've been great to work with when I've had problems. Luckily the hanger is replaceable.

Glad you're not too messed up as well.

Good afternoon! I had a bit of a tumble last night when my rear derailleur hangar sheared in half causing my derailler and chain to get caught up in my spokes and slamming me to the ground. After a couple of cuts, a chipped tooth, some nice road rash, a VERY sore shoulder, a good size swelling on my head, a trip to the ER, x-rays, a CT scan, and a couple of vicoden, im up and moving. However, my bike isn't in the best looking shape. I'm wondering if I should complain to Orbea of if that is something that "just happens." The bike is 2 years old and only has about 3,500 miles on it. There was no warning other than, looking back on it, the bike wasn't shifting properly for a few miles before it happened. Anyone ever have this happen before? Josh
