Armadillos are the gold standard -- you will be happy with them, and
they are worth the money.

I have 650c wheels, and they don't make Armadillos for me, so if your
budget is particularly strained, I have found that almost anything
with a Kevlar belt works pretty good.  I've used Continental Ultra
Gatorskins and Vittoria Rubino Kevlars on my small-tire road bike, but
I think Nashbar and Performance might have something for 700c wheels
in their brand that is less $$.

Another trick -- you are a pretty big guy, if you are willing to go
for a wider tire (700x28 or 700x32) you should have better puncture
resistance (esp. with the Kevlar belt), at the cost of some weight.
