Some of y'all have heard I've been working with Brad Cason (former AMCT'er) at KirkLee. Well, some good news came down yesterday and we can finally talk about it.

Subject: KirkLee and Tyler's bike
Hello All,
Jeremy Floyd (some of you know him) just sent me a link from Velonews

I have been quiet on the news till it happens but the bike Tyler is holding is a KirkLee that I built.
Last month at the Austin Rocks Crit I spoke with Tyler about a mutual friend we have. The next day I ran into him at the Sunday crit and he had the chance to take my wife's 54cm for a spin. He thought it was pretty cool and asked if he could take it to China. (Actually he offered his full Record DeRosa King straight up so I guess he liked the bike?) We settled on building one full custom just for Tyler. We turned the bike in 1 week including paint. He wanted the bike flat black with no paint/no logos. After talking we decided to meet in the middle, KirkLee Logos, just in case we get a Mag shot but keeping some of the logo's ghosted. The paint was done by KirkLee which is silver with pearl metal flake clear coat. All black is carbon to show off the layups. Attached are a few pics of the bike while we were building it.
We should have our first full bike test in this Sept issue of Road Magazine and for those of you going to Inter bike stop by the Rotor Cranks booth we will be working overtime. For those staying in Austin, don't be a stranger.
Fly the Flag,
Brad
