The Food Drive at the Brazos Center is Wednesday.  As per historical
norms, predictions are for some nice, cold weather.

The bicycling community has a tradition of biking to the Food Drive.
Sometimes that means biking from home.  Sometimes that means driving
to the Shell Station on Briarcrest and biking in to the Brazos Center
(1/4 mile) from there.  We generally bring
more money than food, and we've brought them some nice financial
donations in the past.  (I think our all-time high is
around $1000-$1500, donations from $5-10 on up made by individual club
members).  We always end up on TV.  Definitely it looks better when we
have a larger group.

My budget has taken some hits this year, but I'm going to scrape
together a donation ... I'm willing to bike up there on Wednesday
morning from Southwood Valley, but I'd really like some company (so as
to help prevent me from wimping out and driving up with the bike in
the car!).  I'm also happy to transport checks for the Food bank for
those who aren't up for the trip.

I'm flexible on time.  We generally get up there around 7 - 7:30 am in
the past; I'm willing to go with the flow.

I am hoping to hear from some folks who are interested in joining me!
