[BVC-CHAT] TdF on Versus

Basically, cycling coverage on Versus has sucked -- they'll replay
bull riding endlessly, but they won't do a single rebroadcast of
Cyclism Sundays, their only regular cycling show.

HOWEVER, they are really making up for it for the TdF. I just checked
the Versus TV schedule and coverage of the Tour is going to be
excellent. 3 hours of live coverage every day on flat stages
(beginning 7:30am CDT) and up to 4.5 hours of live coverage for
mountain stages. Moreover, there are three 2-hour replays every
afternoon and two 3-hour "expanded primetime editions" every night
beginning at 7pm CDT. Better still, I just checked ahead to Saturday
morning and, on Direct TV anyway, the broadcast will be on Versus's
HIGHDEF channel (604)!

Oh man, I'm so not getting much done for the next three weeks...

ps: The Pyrenees come first this year. Queen stage is clearly Stage
17, Embrun to L'Alpe d'Huez, the last big mountain stage, 210km with
THREE HC climbs (Galibier, Croix de Fer, and d'Huez) and an uphill
finish.

pps: The only downside here, of course, is that, thanks to the
fascists at ASO, Astana (hence Levi, Contador, and Klöden) won't be
riding.
