Having been one of the Original Elders (along with Colin and Lynn
Allen and Willie and, IIRC, *you*) who humbly obeyed G*d's divine
decree of a Constant Saturday Ride, I declare: Verily, this is so. At
most we have postponed. And on extraordinarily rare occasions
(perhaps fewer than five in the 10 years or so since the ride began?)
the weather has been so severe that no one happened to show up. But
in those cases we simply had the null ride, a planned ride for which
no one shows, not a cancellation.

Agreed.

Please. There is no "Pole Ride". There is flagpole ride; the
Caldwell ride; the Saturday morning BVC ride. There is no "Pole Ride".

Agreed.

I'm not quite sure what that means, but I don't think I'd admit in
public that my gristle has ever been tightened.
