Anne and I have certainly had problems with the new light at 2818 and F&B
Rd. It's fairly twitchy and often doesn't detect us in either direction on
F&B.

I finally felt like I did some good for bicycling at the transportation
committee meeting yesterday.
I need to send in a list of "malfunctioning signal lights" around town, i.e.
the lights that do not detect bikes but really should. I have, on my list
already, Geo Bush at Dexter (loop detector), Walton at University (loop
detector), and Wellborn at Old Main (camera
detector is cranky), and Deacon at Texas Ave (loop detector). I am
sure I am missing some that I do not traverse often. Please send these in
to me this week, so that I can pass them on.
We are also trying to develop priorities for the Transportation Committee.
I suggested in signage for bike routes and share the road signage, updating
the Bicycle Master plan into the extra territorial jurisdiction, and a
bike-ped coordinator for CS (long term plan on that one). If there are
somethings else I should be thinking of, let me know what they are.
Ken Fogle's position with the city has been filled and I met our new
transportation planner. Joe ??? (sorry, memory is not serving right
now.)
Advocating for bikes by attending meetings,
Jean Marie
