What if the natural area is only 20 feet wide in spots, would the planners/designers still insist on a 20 cleared section. I agree with Matt and add will my signature to the Wolfgangs letter if he attends FF tonight.

I am in RPTS 402, park planning and design, and I've talked to my prof, Dr Shafer, about this project. He said they are currently planning crushed granite (permeable and solid enough for cycling) for the pavement.
There is a meeting on the 10th at 2 or 2:30 I have a Tech writing class that starts at 2:20.
IMO a 5-6' wide tread, weaving through the trees with cleared out under brush would be the most desirable.
I think 6' would allow two way travel of wheelchairs, even a 10' wide path is not that bad IF you dont clear out 20' of trees.
Clearing of a 20' swath of trees is beyond reason and destroys the sense of place, that place being only lightly developed land

Matt- the last I talked to the planner in charge of the trails behind Wolfgang's house are supposed to be concrete (10') with a 20' cleared section.
Isn't Matt, like, obviously right? Isn't a 20' cleared section (and for that matter, a 10' path) obviously too wide?
