Howdy and welcome to AGGIELAND!
There are a lot of good areas to ride around town. www.mapmyride.com has a lot of good rides that local riders use frequently, you can search there for Bryan/College Station area and it brings up the routes, distances, road, vs gravel, water/food stops along the way, etc... great place for information on local rides. It kinda depends on where you will be living as to where you want to start from. Or you can always drive to and park and ride.
If it's road cycyling you like any routes that work hwy 30, or greens prairie rd area are good, but there are plenty of other GREAT places to ride, those are just 2 examples.
Every Saturday there is a "Flag Pole Ride" that leaves Texas A&M campus and heads to Caldwell. This ride and many others are listed here: http://brazoscyclists.org/
Mnt biking, Lake Bryan has some nice tails as does Lick Creek Park. Lake Bryan is $5 a day, Lick Creek Park is FREE.
Hope this information helps some. Welcome to AGGIELAND and have a safe move down here and HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Hello,
We are moving to College Station over thanksgiving, arriving Sat
eve, 11/26. We would like to take a leisurely ride around Col Station or
Bryan to get to know the routes and best places to ride, either Sun aft
from 1-5pm (til dark) or Monday, 9/10am onward. Tom rides 15+mph on
flats, Linda 12mph average. Please send email directly to lindajagger at yahoo.com, or tjagger at blarg.net. Or you may call Linda on cell phone 303-249-0986.
Since we are busy packing, and driving down we may not be on internet
much this week. We are moving from Denver where we are used to hiking
lots, including climbing 14ers and biking occasionally.
Thanks.
