BVC new rider in Texas

Hello BVC folks,
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Lauren Hassler and I am moving
to Col.Sta. for grad school in a few days. I am a beginning cyclist- by that
I mean I just bought the bike last week. I found your group on the web and
thought that this might be a good way to meet some people in my new town and
also to stay active. 
I am from western North Carolina so I'll be missing the mountains, but I
figured Texas would be a great place to pick up cycling!

If any of you are beginners or don't mind letting a novice tag along on the
easy rides (easy for now :) ) please let me know. I'm in pretty good shape,
just haven't been on a bike much.
