Hi BVC,
We're planning on having a Road 1 Safety Course taught the
weekend of November 2/3. Curriculum details are at
http://www.brazoscyclists.org/LAB101.pdf
It will probably be ~12 hours of coursework -- which includes riding
time. A tentative schedule would be Saturday 9-12 and 2-6, with a
ride to lunch, then Sunday 9-12 to finish up.
Total cost is $40, with a $20 deposit due to me on October 15, 2002.
The deposit check should be made out to ******Preston Tyree******,
and can be sent to me at
Jean Marie Linhart
1305 W. Villa Maria #A105
Bryan, TX 77801
or handed to me at a social ride, or whatever.
Let me know if you are planning to sign up. We need a certain
number of people to register for the course to "make".
If cost is deterring you from taking the course, please let me know,
we'll try to work something out!
This course is a requirement if you want to become a League of
American Bicyclists Certified Safety Instructor. There is
further coursework required for that -- I'm hoping to
arrange a certification course here.
If you need more information, please let me know. I
can be reached at 696-4600 (w) or 823-4418 (h).
Jean Marie
