Hi BVCers,

Anyone up for a cold early-morning trip to the KBTX Food for Families
Drive for our yearly donation and TV appearance?

The Food for Families Drive is Wednesday, December 7.

We need volunteers to meet in the Target parking lot with bikes -- I
suggest 7 am to roll out by 7:15 am.  If the weather is particularly
nasty or cold, or if laziness overcomes me, I will be happy to give
someone or two someones a ride up from Southwood Valley.  This is the
Target off Hwy 6 and Briarcrest near the Brazos Center (where the
drive occurs).

We need donations (preferably of the portable check variety).  Your
donation is tax deductible.  It can be sent to me on campus via the
Math Dept MS 3368 or mailed to my home if you get it out today.  Email
me for the address if you need it.   We can also take your "promise to
mail it to them directly" and add it to our total.

I am also willing to pick up checks on campus or reasonably close to
where I live, and would appreciate other volunteers to do this.

Students/postdocs: even $5 or $10 helps.  Please consider giving even
a small amount.

If I can encourage or help in any way, please let me know.  We've done
this for years, it is a great cause, and we always get on TV.  :)

If you are planning on coming, please let me know (and send a cell #)
so that we will wait for you if you are a few minutes late.
