[CL] Namespaces in CLIF

Has anyone on the list given any thought to what namespace support in  
CLIF might look like?  I like XML's mechanisms for handling  
namespaces, and these could certainly be used in an XCL document.  I  
suspect that namespaces could be added to CLIF informally and without  
too much trouble as a set of conventions instead of having to define a  
formal extension.  Of course the latter would be better.  Any ideas?
