To the CL community,
This is my second call for changes to the standard to be reflected in
the
first technical corrigendum. I have received no actionable comments so
far.
We start with the existing document of course. (Page numbers refer to
the printed page numbers in the PDF file.)
Any proposed change must first be identified through a "defect
report". I am required by the process to maintain a "defect index"
which I believe can be publicly posted (!). I will maintain this
defect list for our purposes, probably on cl.tamu.edu starting early
next week. The actual process requires submitting the defects to WG2
for official action.
Anyone may report a defect. Here is the form:
Submitter (include email):
For review by: JTC1/SC 32/WG2
Defect report concerning: ISO 24707:2007
Qualifier:
(e.g., error, omission, clarification required)
References in Document:
(e.g., page, clause, figure and/or table numbers)
Nature of defect:
(complete, concise explanation of the perceived problem)
Solution proposed by the submitter:
(optional)
Some problems have already been identified but the changes did not
make it to the final version. The defect reporting obligation starts
now with the published document.
The list of defects is currently EMPTY.
Regardless of whatever you have posted to the list previously, this
list of defects based on the published document must start anew.
Please look through your emails and files and compare them with the
published document.
Here are JTC1's definitions. Let's be sure we cast our changes in
terms of "defect" not "addition or change" which requires a more
elaborate procedure.
ISO/IEC Directives, 5th Edition, page 63
