[CSPS] FW: URGENT VOUCHER ALERT FOR BRYAN/COLLEGE STATION

The responses Maggie and Paul got make Melissa's statements to me quite inexplicable. Frankly, I did not know of this "pilot" program so admittedly did not directly ask her about it. However, given the nature of our conversation, I am dismayed that she did not volunteer this information. This makes me especially concerned about Fred's intentions and position on the larger issue. Ditto Paul--this is certainly not a local issue.

I got basically the same message as Maggie. Fred Brown IS going to support
this "pilot" program in 4 cities. Melissa emphasizes that the amendment
doesn't affect Bryan-College Station--which is well understood--so those
who call in the future might want to stress that that is not really the
point. That is, we are not concerned simply out of self-interest regarding
what is happening locally.
