[DP-Announce] Vigil still on -- please attend

As of 1:00 this afternoon, James Clark is still scheduled to be 
executed this evening.  

This is particularly tragic and symbolic for a number of reasons.
- it will be the 153rd execution to take place under Governor Perry, 
surpassing the disgusting record of George Bush.

- Clark was diagnosed by two psychiatrists as being mentally retarded 
-- but the state chose to accept the one psychiatrist willing to say 
he was not mentally retarded (though even that measure was within 
standard confidence interval of the typical retardation threshold).

Please join us for a vigil in protest at the corner of Texas Ave. & 
Walton, across from the main entrance to the A&M campus.
