Friends,
I regret to inform you that it is not a happy new year in Texas. In
January alone the State plans to execute five men. Before turning to
the vigils, let me make 2 other announcements:

1) Are you a member of TCADP? TCADP is the only statewide grassroots
organization with an office in Austin working full time to defeat the
death penalty. To date the office has been made possible because of
grants that the organization has obtained. But we must move to self
sufficeincy by developing stronger member support. It costs only $30
per year to join TCADP and it will make a big difference:

Please join the movement that will, eventually, end the death
penalty.

2) The state conference of TCADP will be held in Austin on Sat. Jan.
27. Please join me in Austin. I will be driving over for the
meeting, so contact me if you need more information.

Now the vigils:
Please confirm that you will be at the vigil this Wed. 1/10. Unless
there are enough participants, no vigil will be held.
Wed. 1/10Carlos Granados
Wed. 1/17 Johnathan Moore
Wed. 1/24 Larry Swearingen
Thurs. 1/25 Ronald Chambers
Tues. 1/30 Christopher Swift
