Dear Richard,

The Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (TCADP) invites you to
participate in our first-ever "Statewide Conference Call."  The call will
take place on Tuesday, June 9th from 7:00 - 8:00 PM and will focus on the
81st Texas Legislative Session, which will conclude at midnight on June 1,
2009.

Learn what happened to the dozens of death penalty-related bills that were
introduced this session, including HB 682 (a bill calling for the abolition
of the death penalty).  Bob Van Steenburg, who has spearheaded TCADP's
legislative efforts, also will discuss what our organization gained from
this session and where we go from here.  Finally, you'll hear about TCADP's
Religious Outreach Program and how you can become involved.

This is the first in a series of statewide conference calls that will be
taking place on a quarterly basis.  Each call will feature a guest speaker
and will highlight a TCADP program or upcoming event.  We hope you can
listen in on the 9th!

This call is open to all TCADP members and supporters.  All you need is the
ability to make long-distance phone calls!   We can accommodate up to 150
