[DP-Announce] Vigil on Tuesday - 200th under Perry

On Tuesday June 2 the State of Texas plans to execute Terry Hankins.  
This will be the 200th person put to death under the administration 
of Rick Perry.

Perry is a man who shows blind faith in our criminal justice system.  
In 2009 he said,  "By and large, we have a system that is fair, that 
works well, that is open to correcting errors that are made."  By and 
large?!?  Most of the time?!?  Is that a standard that we accept when 
we put men to death.  In fact, the death penalty is a broken costly 
system that has no place in a civilized society.  

Please join us on Tuesday to show your opposition.  We will meet from 
5:30-6:00 at the corner of Texas Ave. and Walton, across from the 
main entrance to the A&M campus.  

You're welcome to bring handmade signs stand with the rest of us 
behind the large banner.
