I hear Danny's objections and I do not blame him for being offended. I am
not trying to stir the pot, but this open discussion is helpful in my
mind. We are addressing (now) important aspects of how we work together
for common goals, and I am gaining from that.

I did not mention agnostics, but I did say "atheists," and when he kept
saying "a Jew," I said "Jews." I stopped myself from saying Buddhists
although I have worked on death penalty issues with Buddhists in Austin &
Kentucky.

My "quote" came out something like:

"Our group in College Station includes Christians, Jews, Atheists, even
myself a Quaker. It does not matter about a person's background. Anyone
can come to the conclusion that is wrong to kill a person."

I made hand motions like "separate/apart" when I said "background" and I
brought my fingers back together to interlock in front of my face as I said
"come."

Who knows what will come out of the edit, but I wonder if it is better to
dance to the music of the puppet master than to remain silent on this
important subject.
