The Brazos Valley Festival of African Art, Inc., is spearheading the effort 
by community
residents and youth, church, cultural and business leaders and local 
government,  college students and educators to introduce the first annual 
Brazos Valley Festival of African Art, September
26-28.  We are anticipating a broad audience of approximately 20,000 
visitors from throughout the
Research Valley during this three-day weekend of festivities.  We would 
treasure the Progressive Coalition's representation here at this total 
community celebration, "where ALL communities unite."

    Our "Dollars for the ARTS" Fund Walk & Run is June 21, centered at 
Lincoln Recreation Center.  Additional information about this special event 
is in the attachment to this correspondence.  Please
do what you can to assist us to spread the word.
