[JPI] resolution PASSES!!!

Dear friends:

Wanted to let you know right away that the Living Wage Resolution prepared 
by our own Living Wage Coalition passed the FAculty Senate today, 
resoundlingly!

Many, many thanks to Jennifer Considine, Florencia Choto, and Ernie Goetz 
for presenting and fielding questions, to Linda Parrish for shepharding this 
through the Senate, to Ginny McDonnell for her initial study, to Jo Hudson 
for putting together and chairing the original committee, to Edie Rassell 
for coming down and getting us on track, to Rich  Woodward for running the 
numbers, to Jane Welsh and Debbie Kochevar for their support, to the faculty 
we don't even know who spoke out in favor of the resolution, to JPI for 
adopting the LW as a topic. . .and the list just goes on and on!

What's next??  We need to get together in January (community and university) 
to talk about how we can support President Gates as he receives and ACTS ON 
this resolution. . . more to come :-)
