KIF: HTML mail

Hi folks -- can I plead once again for unformatted text email unless
absolutely necessary? I often read mail from the command line when I'm
logged in remotely, and the huge amount of useless HTML scat generated by
most graphical mailers make this nearly impossible. (Micro$oft LookOut!
and LookOut! Express are particularly egregious in this regard.) At the
least, if possible, please set up your mailer so that it sends out both
text and HTML versions of your message as separate alternatives. (Michael,
I note, has the Netscape mailer configured to do this -- your mail client
then just displays the appropriate alternative.)

I'm probably a dying breed here, but I really think that HTML mail is the
net equivalent of fins on cadillacs: we've been talked into believing
something ugly and inefficient is really cool and stylish.
