[SCL] presentation to INCITS/L8 standards group

As most of you know, I suggested a mid-December deadline for putting
together something to show the U.S.'s L8 group in preparation for my
efforts in working toward the standard referred to as Common Logic. It
would seem that the current draft (as Pat says, "not fit to publicize")
is not yet ready for actual presentation to a standards body. I would
like to present something to the L8 group, however, even it is only a
summary of what the SCL group is currently working on. If the draft is
deemed "publicizable" by the end of the week, then I will be glad to
use it.
While I understand that my goal of seeking an ISO standard is not
necessarily the goal of the SCL group, it would help me to have
something to take to the L8 meeting, for which I'll be leaving on
Tuesday, Dec. 16th. Pat had mentioned some slides that I might use as a
basis; I'd appreciate any contributions. I'll be happy to accept
contributions or suggestions anyone cares to offer me.
I would also like to ask any members of the SCL group if any of you
would like to participate in the standards effort as expert
consultants. This is especially useful if you are outside the U.S. This
request should be considered quite separately from participation in the
SCL technical discussion group. If you are interested, please let me
know what level of involvement you are willing to devote (and your
country!).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Harry
