But you really do seem to be alone in this, John. I think you may be 
able to get over it in time.

No, they use it to refer to a set of logical sentences in some 
document, typically one that is transmittable over a network.  I use 
it in this way myself.

One of the reasons I don't want to do this, apart from the fact that 
it will be widely mis-read where "ontology" will not, is that it 
suggests a notion of 'modularity' which is precisely what SCL is 
aimed at avoiding: the idea that each bundle of assertions is 
isolated in its own package.
