As I recall, this was because to become a member required substantial 
$$ outlay, and none of us can afford this stuff.

I think we might be able to come up with a more digestible summary of 
where we are at. I will try to make this a priority for next week, 
before I set off to Sanibel Island.

Another item Nancy could consider mentioning is the Lbase translation 
tables for RDF and RDFS, since Lbase is essentially a simplified SCL 
and I plan to use minor adaptations of these in the SCL document to 
define connections between existing W3C SW standards and SCL. See

Ok, point taken.  I can certainly provide a kind of overview of where 
we are at and the general structure of the spec as we envision it.
