Hi Tanel, thanks for your note.  You are right about both the fact that
there has been a bit of a hiatus, and also the fact that we there is
every intention to continue the work.  We haven't been completely idle.
I merged some of the material in the most recent document with some more
informal stuff that Pat and I had done and submitted a paper to the
workshop on Semantic Integration at the Int's Sem Web Conference
(http://iswc2003.semanticweb.org), which was accepted.  We will both be
attending.  I will be cleaning up the paper over the next couple of
weeks and will post it on the site.  I have also done some work on the
SCL doc; a newer version is imminent.  I will respond to the other
excellent observations in your note a bit later, as a bit of traveling
and some other obligations will keep me tied up for the next week or so.
