You are invited to participate in the 12th International Conference on 
Conceptual Structures. This year's conference has a variety of 
technical offerings, including thirty-two research presentations, three 
tutorial/workshops, and six invited speakers. There will also be some 
social activities associated with the conference. This year's theme 
"Conceptual Structures at Work" emphasizes our commitment to developing 
conceptual modeling and analysis techniques that can be applied to 
solve real-world problems.

This year's invited speakers will be Jim Hendler, John Sowa, Rudolf 
Wille, Frithjof Dau, Kelly Parker and Terrence Deacon.

The International Conference on Conceptual Structures (ICCS) has been 
held annually in Europe, Australia, and North America since 1993. The 
central focus is the formal representation and analysis of conceptual 
knowledge and the presentations of applications and tools available for 
artificial intelligence, computational linguistics, and related areas 
of computer science.

Historically, a group of researchers working on the theory and 
applications of Conceptual Graphs founded the ICCS. Over the years, 
they have broadened the scope to include a wider range of theories, 
among them Formal Concept Analysis, Description Logics, Situation 
Theory, Discourse Representation Theory, and related techniques.
