Three men are scheduled to be executed this week: Larry Swearingen on
Tuesday 1/27, Virgil Martinez on Wednesday and Ricardo Ortiz on
Thursday.

For those able, pleas come out and suppuport our protests at the
corner of Texas Ave. and Walton from 5:30-6:00. If you have a sign,
please post it during the day, though to avoid theft it would be
better if you brought your signs in over night.

There are serious concerns about the guilt of Swearingen. This means
2 things. First, there's a decent chance for a stay on Tuesday.
I'll try to post an update if anything happens. If there is not a
stay, please come out and protest the execution of a man for a murder
he most likely did not commit. Second, please contact the Governor's
office to urge the governor to grant a stay of the execution of
Larry Swearingen (800) 252-9600.

The Houston Chronicle details the problems with Swearingen's case in
its editorial: http://tinyurl.com/bkcs4d
