TS Hosting movie night

We need volunteers to host the Progressives Movie Night. Once per
month a host shows a film of their choosing at their homes on a date
and time they decide. The films are usually from a left, progressive,
liberal slant -- but may not be too provided they have artistic or
historic value. It's bring snacks to share and BYOB. Movie Night was
originally started several years ago but then stopped when the Vets
for Peace started showing free antiwar films in downtown Bryan at the
Palace Theater. Movie Night was restarted in November 2009. So far
we've shown "The Butterfly", "Che", "Johnny Got His Gun", "The Hurt
Locker" and "Towel Head" and have had five different hosts. There's
always good company and some interesting, stimulating discussions at
Movie Night. Typical attendance so far since it restarted has been 3 -
8 although previously it's been as many as 10 - 12 (but more typically
3-8). The numbers are small enough that people can gather around a
normal sized television in a living room. We're looking for volunteers
for showings during future months starting in April. I'm coordinating
that -- (979) 777-8758 or touchst at cy-net.net. I hope you can volunteer
to host and if you can't -- then plan to attend. It's a great time!

          Danny
